I picked up this 2004 TJ X Model earlier this week at Xtreme Jeep over on Florida Ave in Tampa. Got a little coaching from Mr. Bones. It’s for my son and I to do some weekend wheeling; nothing too extreme. Otherwise, the kid will use it for his daily driver.
The X Model has the 4.0L inline six and the stocker Dana 30 front and 35 rear gearing. This model has an automatic transmission and CommandTrac auto-locking system. It’s had a lift kit installed (2 inch budget suspension and 3 on the body) and has Mickey Thompson Baja Claw 33s, plus a set of bushwacker flares. It’s going to need some suspension and protection upgrades, which I’m putting a plan together for.
